ABUSE IN CARE HUI IN NELSON

Please see below info re Nelson hui:
The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care is traveling around Aotearoa to engage with people who are part of or connected to the learning disability, neurodiverse and cognitive impairment community. We would like to invite you and your networks to two hui that we have planned in Nelson.
The first hui in Nelson is for people who are connected to the learning disability, neurodiverse and cognitive impairment community and will be:
When: Tuesday 22nd July 2021
Time: 10.00am – 12.00pm.
Where: Greenmeadow Centre, 491 Main Road, Stoke, Nelson
We have a following hui on the 18th of August. This is for people who identify as part of the learning disability, neurodiverse and cognitive impairment community and their supporters. This will be an opportunity for people talk about
• what abuse and neglect means
• who to tell if it has happened to you
• what you think helps people feel safe to speak up.
When: Wednesday 18th August 2021
Time: 10.30am – 3.00pm
Where: Greenmeadow Centre, 491 Main Road, Stoke, Nelson
