This is a final friendly reminder that Phase One of the Disabled Person-Led Monitoring of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Health and Wellbeing) closes this Friday, 24th of July 2020.
So far we’ve had an incredible response, with a great number of disabled people and their whānau sharing their ideas about what health and wellbeing rights violations / issues they think should be monitored. Thank you to all the localities and organisations who have spread the word, and helped our community contribute to Article 33.3 of the UNCRPD.
If you are available and willing, please consider assisting us with a final call to participate by sharing the Phase One survey with your networks. More information and accessible formats of the survey can be found on our website.
Thank you again for supporting this important work. I will again be in touch once we are ready to start recruiting participants for Phase Two of the monitoring (one-on-one monitoring interviews).
Kind regards,
Dr Robbie Francis Watene
