FAMILY NETWORK NZ & COMPLEX CARE GROUP INVITE YOU TO OUR NEXT TWO VIRTUAL GATHERINGS FOR PARENTS

Both organisations are family led change agencies working for families who have a son or daughter with an intellectual disability and/or complex needs.

These Zoom calls have proven very popular and we welcome you to attend our next two Zoom calls featuring senior executives from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Development.

These Zoom calls are a safe environment for parents to share practical and emotional support that can help alleviate some of the isolation, challenges, and positive experiences by parents who are without the usual supports, for an indefinite period during Covid19 Alert Level 2. We wonder what the ‘new normal’ will look like and are there opportunities to ‘create a new normal’

Connecting Parents Virtually – via Zoom:

Mon 18th May – 1:30 to 3pm

Guests: Adri Isbister, Deputy Director General Disability and Amanda Bleckmann, Group Manager, Operational Performance, Disability, Ministry of Health – Adri and Amanda will be on this Zoom call from 1.30 till at least 2pm.

Zoom 4

Thurs 21st May – 11:30 to 1pm

Guests: Julie Hook, Programme Manager, Education System Interface with Disability System Transformation (Ministry of Education) from 11.30 till midday – and Claire Stearne, Ministry of Social Development (to talk about post schooling sector during and after Alert Level 2) from midday till 12.30pm.

We will ensure all who wish to speak have a chance to do so. We ask that all interactions on these Zoom calls be respectful of different opinions.

This is your opportunity to present your most pressing concerns to Adri, Amanda, Julie and Claire – they are all very willing to hear the voice of parents.
